CIMIC ORIENTATION COURSE (COC 01/26) CONCLUDED AT MNCG HQ

The CIMIC Orientation Course (COC 01/26) was conducted at MNCG HQ, Caserma “Mario Fiore” (Motta di Livenza), from 23 to 27 February 2026. The course provided foundational instruction on CIMIC principles, tasks, functions and organizational architecture, including Civil-Military Interaction (CMI) in the NATO framework.

COC 01/26 was structured to support a baseline understanding of CIMIC’s role across NATO’s operational spectrum, including collective defence and crisis-response contexts. The instructional model balanced theoretical sessions with practical activities, enabling participants to connect conceptual elements with functional application in planning and operational support environments.

A core training objective was to establish a common reference framework for personnel approaching CIMIC duties, reinforcing terminological coherence, role clarity and procedural awareness. Through guided learning and applied activities, the course supported the development of essential competencies required to operate effectively in civil-military interfaces.

Within MNCG’s training continuum, COC remains a key entry-level enabler: it builds foundational readiness, supports interoperability and contributes to a shared professional baseline for personnel engaged in CIMIC-related functions.

MNCG is leading the way on civil-military cooperation.
