MNCG HOSTS THE WORKSHOP “CIMIC CONCEPT IN SUPPORT OF THE REGIONAL PLANS”

MNCG is leading the way on civil-military cooperation

Motta di Livenza, 2–4 September 2025.

For three days, the “Mario Fiore” Barracks – home of the Multinational CIMIC Group – will be the hub or beacon of NATO’s civil-military cooperation. From 2 to 4 September, MNCG will host the second edition for 2025 of the workshop “CIMIC Concept in support of the Regional Plans”, confirming its pivotal role in shaping the future of CIMIC across the Alliance.

Developed in 2023, the workshop is conceived to deepen the understanding on how CIMIC contributes to the implementation of NATO’s  Regional Plans – a cornerstone of the NATO collective defense. In Motta di Livenza, CIMIC representatives coming from NATO’s main Commands and Allied front-line nations are meeting to exchange perspectives, share lessons learned, and develop a common approach to current and future challenges.

The audience gathers NATO’s CIMIC experts from across all military levels: from SHAPE J9 to the Joint Force Commands in Naples, Norfolk, and Brunssum; from LANDCOM to the 1st German-Netherlands Corps; from Multinational Divisions to the NATO Force Structure Headquarters
(ARRC, NRDC-ESP, NRDC-GR, NRDC-ITA). In addition, national representatives from front-line states such as Lithuania, Poland, and Latvia will provide their perspective on resilience and deterrence along NATO’s eastern flank.

In this framework, MNCG is confirmed as both an hub of expertise and a catalyst for ideas and solutions. The workshop offers the opportunity to further explore the CIMIC contribution to the Regional Plans, strengthen interoperability between NATO and national CIMIC structures, and
analyze the evolving geopolitical and operational context.

Organized by MNCG with the support of major NATO Headquarters, the event will also feature the participation of several stakeholders via VTC – a concrete sign of an inclusive approach, bridging geographical distances to keep the dialogue alive.

Three intense days dedicated to cooperation, exchange, and forward-looking vision. Once again, MNCG proves to be at the forefront of civil-military cooperation.
